GIZ, Forest and Environment Programme (ProPFE), National Technical Advisor

Josephine holds a PhD in Natural Resources Management, MSc in Plant Biotechnology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Botany and a BSc in Agriculture. She coordinates the activities of the GIZ-ProPFE in Maroua-Cameroon to ensure that superior tree germplasm is available for ProPFE collaborative partners and other interested users as rural women.

She also accompanies Women Cooperatives for the modernization of wide range of non-timber forest products Processing through trainings and networking for market access.

Her main areas of interest include conservation and use of important indigenous African tree germplasm, communicating generated scientific knowledge so that informed choices can be made in implementing science-based technologies, and mentoring young scientists, especially African women.
