Joachim Weber worked as consultant and trainer at ATC, Agri and Co-operative Training and Consultancy Services Ltd, Kenya. ATC is working in Africa with emphasis on East Africa. Since 2008 ATC has facilitated 8 ValueLinks training courses in Kenya, together with PSDA, Private Sector Development in Agriculture, of GTZ and IDC, International Development Consultant. Joachim Weber has been co-facilitator or facilitator to most of them. He has also been involved in the Helvetas workshop, Organic and Fair Trade Value Chains, early 2009 in Benin that resulted in the Organic Business Guide, which can be downloaded here (http://www.ifoam.org/pdfs/Organic_Business_Guide_web.pdf).

Facilitation of stakeholder meetings for agricultural products and development of strategies to improve the performance is the second pillar of ATC’s involvement in value chain development.
